My Manifesto
Updated: Jul 21, 2019
Graphic Design, for me, is not art. It is effective impactful communications that is driven by the idea to achieve results. Results could be anything from lead generation to self branding to promotion to advertisement to product launch - its all communication. Graphic design makes sure it is
Consistent,
Cohesive and
Creative.

A manifesto is a foundation of how you perceive yourself, what you believe in and what you would like people to know about the way you are, the way you think, the way you act, the way you work.
Many well known designers start with this. It is a well researched process to define yourself in a couple words and phrases. At the bottom of this blog you will see inspirations from these designers.

001. What I do next is all on me.
I dream to achieve. No waiting for things to happen. I go out on a limp, and I do my best to make it happen. On the flip side, happiness is of more importance. More than money, more than work, more dreams.
I make my own destiny.

002. Evolution is the only Constant.
To evolve, become better. A better designer, a better person, a better sister better neighbor, a better friend and a better leader.
Being a self critic is my power. It keeps me grounded. Makes me compassionate,
and forgiving.
However, I don't self doubt. The one person I can depend on, is myself, always.

003. It's only Virtual
No matter how passionate I am about my work, I value real human connections over it.
I look for ways to make my work more empathetic and give back to the society so to justify my love for what I do. I define myself with not only my work. Its a big part of me, but I'm much bigger.

004. Money is not essential.
Money is fiction, made by this world - for our lives, work and our time to have a some meaning. Yes, it is a basic necessity to live a proper carefree life but I don't endorse in the fancy things it advertises.
Money doesn't make my decisions for me or influence my level of peace and happiness. I'm the same happy poor or rich.
Having said that, I do not endorse in free work or low paid internships or predatory contract agreements.

005. Everybody stares but no on really cares.
In the end it come down to who you want to become and who you are now. Not everyone will like you. And thats fine.
I trust my gut and my decisions. No matter what the world says, I'm confident and regret free. And thats my biggest achievement.

006. The Expiry Date
Everything has an expiry date. Friendships, love, projects, food, people, everything. The goal is to achieve all that I aspire before the deadline. Yes, the deadline puts up the show. Without this timer, nothing will make sense. There will be no evolution.
Plan it, work towards it, achieve it, celebrate it then repeat it.
