A very important way to compete with other brands offering similar services/products with more than just price, is CSR.
In a global study, 91% of consumers said they were likely to switch to a brand that supports a good cause, given similar price and quality. 92% said they would buy a product with a social or environmental benefit given the opportunity, and 67% said they had done so in the past 12 months. (Read More Here) CSR works both as a good profit yielding business plan while helping the society become a little better. While working as an intern for Quirk Box, I got the opportunity to design the CSR campaign for the year 2013. Quirk Box, a fashion and lifestyle label came up with a new initiative for it’s customers to donate Rs. 5 or more when they buy a quirk box product. That donation amount goes to the under privileged children of Shri Sant Gadge Maharaj Vidyalaya, Pune, Maharastra.
